i am being legitimate when i tell you all that if romney wins i will flee the country

I’m legitimately terrified that this is such a close race. If you’re an American of voting age and not opposing Romney this election, you’re damning our country.

I legitimately will leave this country if he is elected. This is so not okay.

I have been raped, and that rape resulted in a pregnancy scare, and reading this just literally made me have a panic attack thinking of if I had been pregnant, and not only having to see my ex who raped me again, but the thought of him having paternal rights over my child in any way.

I actually feel sick right now.

This makes me want to puke. I am literally nauseated after reading this. 

that is BEYOND fucked up.

This is so sick, and wrong. Oh my god just… no. If Romney is elected, I won’t leave the country, but if a bill like this is passed god help us all.

Okay, prepare yourselves for some serious talk, but her goes:

Carl Rove literally changed the entire game of politics. The right and left wing are not playing the same games anymore.

It used to always be that when you were running for nomination you would play to your base and once you were a candidate go for the supposed “middle” voters who were not party aligned and undecided. So during the race candidates would run as middle of the road partisan peace makers. 

NOT ANY MORE

It was during the Bush v Kerry election that it all changed. Carl Rove single handedly changed the game by having Bush play to the base during the nomination and even harder during the elections. The right wing now play by rallying there base and only their base. 

Why?

Because Americans just don’t vote. The middle of the road voter who’s undecided is least likely togo out and vote if they’e unsure. But if you can get some serious fucking wack jobs to get behind you, enough to overwhelm the left, you are set.

THAT’S THE SECRET. PLAY TO THE BASE.

The problem is they are playing to the absolute dumbest of the nation. The religious freak shows, the sexists, the racists. That’s how you end up with men running for presidency who are spouting this level of nonsense. The bigger the lie, the more outrageous the cause, the more people actually dedicated to voting will get out there versus those who are unsure.

THE GAME ISN’T THE SAME ANY MORE. WE NEED TO RALLY OUR BASE TOO.

The thing that makes me the most confused is all the women who are voting for him. I pity them because they actually think this kind of thing is ok
